Attosecond Interferometry Experiments at the Tandem Undulator Beamline BL1U of UVSOR-III Synchrotron
Abstract The waveform of electromagnetic radiation from an ultra-relativistic electron reflects the motion of the electron. Recently, we have demonstrated that each light wave packet comprising spontaneous radiation from a tandem undulator has a double-pulse temporal profile as a consequence of the sequential undulating motion of single electrons. The use of mutual coherence between the double-pulse components enables time-domain interferometry experiments on the attosecond scale for controlling and monitoring the quantum state of matter using synchrotron radiation. This paper presents recent results obtained from the attosecond interferometry experiments conducted at the beamline BL1U of the UVSOR-III synchrotron.
