PMSM control based on ADRC and enhanced sliding mode algorithm

Abstract To address the issues of excessive overshoot and insufficient anti-disturbance capability in traditional Proportional Integral (PI) control under disturbances, an Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) speed controller and an improved sliding mode current controller are proposed. In the speed loop, an ADRC controller is introduced to accelerate dynamic response and anti-disturbance performance. In the current loop, an improved sliding mode controller is implemented to accelerate dynamic response speed and stability of the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). A simulation model combining ADRC and improved sliding mode control is developed to verify the developed solution. The experimental findings demonstrate that the developed approach significantly enhances the system’s anti-disturbance capability, effectively suppresses chattering, and improves the system’s robustness.
