Proposed Pulsed wire Setup for short undulator magnetic field characterization
Abstract A pulsed wire method (PWM) setup for undulator characterization is proposed and is under development at the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR) Bhopal. The setup will consist of two honeycomb tables with a top that has dimensions 600 mm x 600 mm and vibration isolation. The separation between the tables can be varied to set an arrangement for a variable-length pulsed wire setup. The variation of sag with respect to wire length for enameled copper wire of thickness 500 microns (25swg) is measured. Digital data acquisition setup using a microcontroller is also used for measurement.
