Research on wave retrieval using mmWave radar
Abstract Millimeter-wave (MMW) radar technology, with its high spatiotemporal resolution measurement capabilities, offers a novel perspective for wave parameter estimation, thereby facilitating more precise analysis of wave characteristics. As microwave radar technology continues to advance, wave parameter estimation methods can be primarily categorized into potential function methods, non-coherent radar methods, and coherent radar methods. However, the inversion accuracy of these methods is constrained by hardware size and power consumption. This paper validates the application of traditional non-coherent and coherent radar methods in wave parameter estimation using high spatiotemporal resolution data obtained from MMW radar through simulation experiments. The experimental results demonstrate that the utilization of MMW radar signals significantly enhances the accuracy of parameter estimation, paving the way for improving the precision of wave parameter estimation.
