Preface

Welcome to the 4th International Conference on Livestock Production for Food Sustainability, held from November 5 to 7, 2024, in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. This conference is part of a series of ICAPFS conferences previously held in two different provinces in Indonesia, namely West Sumatra and Bali. The conference was organized in a hybrid format (offline and online) to accommodate participants far from the conference venue, which would otherwise require significant time and financial resources. The conference brings together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world to discuss and share insights on sustainable animal production practices. This year’s theme emphasizes innovative approaches to animal production that ensure food security while minimizing environmental impacts. We are honored to have leading speakers and experts who will present their latest research findings and practical solutions. We want to thank our colleagues and collaborators for their invaluable contributions to the success of this conference. Special thanks to our sponsors and funding partners for their support, which has made this event possible.
