Optimization analysis of the thermodynamic performance of high-efficiency cutting tools
Abstract This paper analyzes the cutting force, cutting heat, and their impact on tool loss and residual stress, aiming to optimize cutting parameters for Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy processing. Using CNC lathes and 3D morphology detection, an accurate quantitative analysis of cutting force, heat, and tool loss was conducted. The results show that cutting force correlates with temperature rise, and higher cutting and feed speeds increase tool wear. Optimizing tool geometry and cutting conditions enhances heat resistance, durability, and residual stress distribution. Properly set cutting parameters significantly improve thermodynamic properties and provide a theoretical basis for regulating tool durability.
