Pyogenic Flexor Tenosynovitis of the Finger Following Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release
This case highlights the first reported instance of pyogenic flexor tenosynovitis as a complication after endoscopic CTR. Although this relatively safe procedure carries a low infection risk, prophylactic antibiotics should be considered for high-risk patients. In addition, postoperative patients presenting with acute symptoms should be thoroughly evaluated for urgent infectious complications.
