A dynamic model-based approach for predicting the position of a missing submarine

With the increasing prevalence of underwater exploration and tourism, many companies are striving to achieve precise localization of submarines to prevent incidents of loss. This paper proposes a solution to address this issue. First, a dynamic analysis of the missing submarine is conducted. Taking into account the forces acting on the submarinebuoyancy, gravity, Coriolis force, and viscous drag caused by relative motion with seawaterthe model calculates changes in the submarine's velocity and position. The model also considers density variations due to changes in seawater temperature and salinity at different depths, as well as variations in viscous drag caused by differences in seawater flow speed and direction. Based on the last transmitted coordinates, depth, water temperature, the submarine's own motion state, and the surrounding seawater current speed, the model can effectively predict the submarine's trajectory and final location.
