84 Rural Improvements in Venous Thrombosis Treatment in Oklahoma: The RIVETT-OK Initiative
Introduction: Annually, over 3,000 Oklahomans receive outpatient treatment for Venous Thromboembolic Disease (VTE) following an Emergency Department (ED) diagnosis. In Oklahoma, 19 of 77 counties (∼25%) are classified as medically underserved, facing significant health disparities and care challenges. RIVETT-OK is a quality improvement project aimed at improving outpatient VTE care. The objectives are: Develop and implement evidence-based VTE management educational programs (online, virtual). Identify barriers to VTE care and implement system-based changes through telehealth and innovative technologies.
