Research on Performance-based Design of Building Space Based on BIM

With the increasing development of information technology in the engineering field, the application of digital methods in the full cycle of BIM design has become an important means for studying the optimization design and application of building space performance. Taking the Silk Road Pearl Tower project as an example, this article deeply analyzes its application in architectural design and the effect of multi-disciplinary interactive simulation. In the BIM full-cycle workflow, the schematic design stage focuses on the establishment of models and the elaboration and comparison of schemes; entering the construction drawing design stage, it focuses on optimizing design, analyzing clear height, and improving design quality; while in the construction coordination stage, it conducts three-dimensional disclosure and design change management. In addition, through wind environment simulation analysis, lighting simulation and energy conservation analysis, meteorological feasibility analysis, building fire evacuation analysis, spatial visualization analysis, and comprehensive pipe network optimization analysis, the multi-dimensional performance optimization design of building space is realized. At the same time, focusing on combining structural elasticity and stability analysis with structural temperature effect analysis, further optimizes the structural performance design, providing a theoretical and practical basis for improving the low-carbon design performance of buildings.
