Los detalles del retablo
This paper endeavours to examine a specific aspect of burlesque poetry related to its expressivity. In many poems, the intensity of wit is aimed at describing poetical motifs of very little dimensions. Those details painted as part of a major description, or considered for themselves through an accumulation of significant features, usually make the reader observe the poetical motifs as if he were getting nearer, something that should contribute to the effectiveness of the burlesque poem. We would like, then, to investigate the relation between wit, details and plasticity in burlesque poetry.
