A new species and two new records of micro-gastropods of the family Pyramidellidae (Gastropoda, Pyramidelloidea) from the Gulf of Mannar, India

Two micro-gastropod species of the genus Pyrgiscus and Turbonilla viz. Pyrgiscus optivus and Turbonilla clessiniana (Gastropoda: Pyramidlellidae) were recorded for the first time from the Gulf of Mannar in Indian waters. Shell morphology and distribution status of the newly reported species were presented in this article. A new species, Turbonilla devakiae n. sp. was also described in our study and it was differentiated from the above known species.
