Three new species of the subgenus Dilatognathus Kluge, 2012 (Ephemeroptera: Leptophlebiidae: Atalophlebiinae) from Western Himalaya, India

The present study describe the three new species within the genus Choroterpes (Dilatognathus) from the Western Himalayas of India. The newly discovered species, viz., Ch. (D.) klugei Kubendran, Vasanth & Subramanian sp. nov., Ch. (D.) latus Vasanth, Kubendran & Subramanian sp. nov., and Ch. (D.) triapicalis Vasanth, Kubendran & Subramanian sp. nov., are described based on larvae collected from streams and rivers in the Western Himalaya. Additionally, a larval key to the known species of the subgenus Dilatognathus, a table of larval characters, biological notes on the streams and rivers, and a distribution map are also provided.
