Tabanid fauna (Insecta: Diptera) of Manipur, an Indo-Burma biodiversity hotspot in India with three new state records
The dipteran family Tabanidae is famous for its disease-carrying capacity, which directly and negatively affects the cattle industry. They are found in almost every ecological habitat, except the polar region. In the present study, we have documented a total of 17 tabanid species under three genera from Manipur along with three new state records. The key to all the tabanid species is also provided here.
