Occurrence of leucism in a Hoary-bellied Himalayan squirrel Callosciurus pygerythrus (I. Geoffroy Saint Hilaire, 1832) in Kolasib, Mizoram, India

Leucism is the partial absence of pigmentation observed in some animals, resulting in reduced colouration while retaining normal eye colour. We report the first sighting of a leucistic Hoary-bellied Himalayan squirrel Callosciurus pygerythrus (I. Geoffroy Saint Hilaire, 1832) from Kolasib, Mizoram, Northeast India.
