Comprehensive Review of Bond Strength between GFRP and Concrete
Abstract— The connection between reinforcing bars and concrete affects the structural behavior and bond efficiency (bond strength) in reinforced concrete. The significance of bonding capacity in construction applications, as dictated by existing standards, has prompted researchers worldwide to assess bond strength in reinforced concrete using diverse testing techniques and processes. This review article investigates the significance of bond strength and the factors that influence bond strength in concrete. A comprehensive investigation of the various components impacting bond strength was undertaken, including concrete type and features, reinforcement bar shape, specimen ambient conditions, testing procedures and requirements, and the impact of higher temperatures. Keywords: Bond strength, Concrete structure, Elevated temperatures, GFRP bar.
