Managing bronchial asthma with constitutional medicine: Insights from case reports

Asthma is a significant Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) affecting individuals across all ages, characterized by variable airflow obstruction and heightened airway responsiveness due to chronic inflammation. While airway obstruction is often reversible, some chronic cases exhibit partial irreversibility. Despite advancements in conventional allopathic treatments, many patients seek homeopathy for its holistic approach, minimal side effects, and focus on individualized care. These case reports highlight the role of individualized homoeopathic treatment in managing bronchial asthma, aiming to address both acute and chronic symptoms. Case summary: This is a case report of 2 patients suffering from Bronchial Asthma, treated at OPD of Dr. B.R. Sur Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Delhi. The patients were prescribed constitutional Homoeopathic medicines, changes in ACT scores were assessed at baseline and at the end of treatment. Deep acting constitutional medicines like Kali carb and Pulsatilla were found useful in reducing both the intensity and frequency of attacks of Asthma.
