Global Seismic Monitoring Using Multiple Operational Trans-Oceanic Telecommunications Cables
We demonstrate the first seismic monitoring network using multiple sub-sea cables. Our north-south and east-west L-shaped implementation with > 150 stations enhances directional sensitivity, proving feasibility and benefits from leveraging sub-sea cables for global real-time ocean-bottom monitoring.
