Burst-Mode Coherent PON Upstream with Rapid Wavelength Measurement and Fast Local Oscillator Tuning Over 20 nm

We demonstrate the first coherent receiver for PON leveraging SiPh wavemeter and hybrid laser capable of measuring bursting wavelengths and fast LO tuning. We successfully receive 100G DP-QPSK bursts from multiple coherent ONUs spanning >20 nm, exceeding 35 dB budget.

Abstract

We demonstrate the first coherent receiver for PON leveraging SiPh wavemeter and hybrid laser capable of measuring bursting wavelengths and fast LO tuning. We successfully receive 100G DP-QPSK bursts from multiple coherent ONUs spanning >20 nm, exceeding 35 dB budget.
