Reconfigurable Networks for Indoor Optical Wireless Communications using Polarization-Controlled Dual-Function Metasurfaces

We designed and fabricated metasurfaces acting as a Dammann vortex grating or a mirror at two orthogonal polarizations. The metasurface concurrently supports both optical MUX/ DEMUX and routing, paving the way for reconfigurable indoor OWC networks.

Abstract

We designed and fabricated metasurfaces acting as a Dammann vortex grating or a mirror at two orthogonal polarizations. The metasurface concurrently supports both optical MUX/ DEMUX and routing, paving the way for reconfigurable indoor OWC networks.
