Design of a Versatile CMOS Synchronous Counter with Advanced Gating Techniques for Energy-Efficient Systems
In this paper, a synchronous up/down counter using gate driver logic and high-speed local clock generation is designed and implemented in CMOS technology. The suggested counter is perfect for digital systems that need accurate counting and timing capabilities because it operates quickly, uses little power, and is reliable. By employing gate driver logic for local clock generation, system performance is improved by reducing power consumption and delays. Comparing the suggested design to more conventional global clock distribution systems, simulation results show that it operates efficiently and synchronizes more quickly.
