Obstacle Geometric Features based Map Segmentation for Architectural Coating Robots

Traditional global path planning struggles with large-scale and dynamic structures. To reduce planning complexity, map segmentation methods are developed to dividing a global region into sub-regions. Current research integrates geometric and semantic data, edge-cloud collaboration and construction metrics. In this paper, a novel map segmentation method based on obstacle geometric features is proposed to stress the complexity of coating robots path planning.

Abstract

Traditional global path planning struggles with large-scale and dynamic structures. To reduce planning complexity, map segmentation methods are developed to dividing a global region into sub-regions. Current research integrates geometric and semantic data, edge-cloud collaboration and construction metrics. In this paper, a novel map segmentation method based on obstacle geometric features is proposed to stress the complexity of coating robots path planning.
