Multi-tagged Objects Loss Detection in Unreliable Channels for Large-Scale RFID Systems

Missing object detection plays a crucial role in practical Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) applications. However, many existing solutions are not compatible with the EPC global Class 1 Generation 2 standard (C1G2) and are difficult to deploy in Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) RFID systems. This paper designs a scheme that supports target object detection based on object categories and batches. The scheme utilizes a selection code written into the user memory of tags, as designed by us. Additionally, we incorporate a lost weight mechanism to more flexibly address communication faults. Finally, simulation experiments verify that our proposed solution is more effective in detection compared to existing Bloom filterbased methods.
