Mainlobe Jamming Suppression Using Regularized Eigenvalue Oblique Projection
With the continuous expansion of radar system application scenarios and the increasing complexity of the electromagnetic environment, traditional spatial anti-jamming methods often struggle to counter mainlobe interference effectively. Classical approaches such as Minimum Variance Distortionless Response, power inversion, and subspace projection demonstrate good performance in suppressing sidelobe and even backlobe interference. However, when interference and target signals are highly overlapped or closely spaced in angle, these algorithms typically exhibit significant gain attenuation near the target direction due to the formation of nulls, making it difficult to detect the target signal effectively. To address these issues, this chapter introduces a mainlobe interference suppression algorithm based on Regularized Eigenvalue Oblique Projection. By incorporating sidelobe constraint conditions, this algorithm can effectively suppress mainlobe interference while better preserving the desired signal and minimizing the impact on sidelobe interference suppression performance.
