Knowledge mapping of Belief Rule Based research : --A visual analysis using CiteSpace
Belief Rule-Based(BRB) is an expert system that supports data-driven modeling and deals with uncertain information. Over the past decade, the literature on BRB has developed rapidly. However, almost no studies have utilized bibliometric visualization methods to present and analyze the research on BRB. To determine the evolution, current status, and trends in the BRB research, this study examines 249 BRB research articles published between 2006 and 2023 in the Web of Science Core Collection. CiteSpace is used to construct and visualize the knowledge map. In this study, we identify the most influential publications in the field of BRB, recognized the main journals, key authors, institutions, and countries. Additionally, we analyze co-authorship and clustering relationships to identify research hotspots and trends. We present all research topics using bibliometric visualization to provide new insights and ideas for related research. Our findings are as follows: First, the most significant developments and advancements in BRB research have primarily occurred in China and the United Kingdom. Second, existing research in the BRB domain mainly focuses on decision-making, fault detection, and risk assessment. Third, BRB, as a new artificial intelligence method, has an obvious growth trend in artificial intelligence research and may become an emerging theme trend.
