Hybrid wired-wireless service access system based on optical frequency comb.
This research focuses on a hybrid wired-wireless service transmission system. Using the multi-wavelength feature of the optical frequency comb light source, wired and wireless data are co-transmitted in one optical fiber. At the base station, the central carrier can be extracted from the multi-carrier optical signal for the uplink transmission link’s light source, simplifying the base station’s structure. Moreover, an optimization scheme to enhance the system’s transmission efficiency is proposed from the modulation methods perspective.
