Synergistic application of deep generative models and reinforcement learning in automated decision-making
Automated decision-making has become a critical field in artificial intelligence, addressing complex challenges in autonomous driving, finance, healthcare, and industrial applications. Traditional decision-making systems often struggle with issues such as data scarcity, environmental unpredictability, and the high costs of real-world testing. These limitations hinder the development of robust and adaptive decision-making frameworks, particularly in dynamic and high-stakes scenarios. To address these challenges, this study integrates deep generative models with reinforcement learning (RL) to enhance automated decision-making. Generative models, such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), create realistic synthetic data and simulate diverse scenarios, providing RL agents with enriched training environments. Meanwhile, RL enables adaptive decision strategies through continuous interaction with these simulated environments. This synergy overcomes traditional bottlenecks by improving data availability, training efficiency, and adaptability to real-world complexities. The innovation of this research lies in its hybrid framework, which combines the strengths of generative models and RL to address challenges in data-scarce, high-uncertainty environments. The proposed approach not only accelerates learning and enhances robustness but also paves the way for applications requiring ethical, safe, and transparent decisionmaking.
