It has been found that psychosocial support is implemented by psychologists, social workers, doctors, lawyers, involves community work, solving social, psychological, legal, medical and other problems of the individual, can be carried out using different approaches – trauma-oriented, non-violent communication, resilience building, etc. in the context of crisis intervention or self-help assistance. Practical significance in generalising new technologies of work – trauma-informed approach, nonviolent communication, resilience building – which are already beginning to work in Ukraine to help people. Prospects for further research are to determine the methods of psychosocial support with certain categories of victims.

Abstract

The relevance of the research topic is stipulated by the need to provide psychosocial support to the entire population of Ukraine in the context of war, when there are no safe places and everyone suffers from mental and mental health problems to varying degrees. The purpose of the article is to identify and reveal new approaches to psychosocial support for the population in wartime. Research methods include generalisation, synthesis, comparison, theoretical analysis of theoretical sources, observation of the experience of humanitarian organisations, etc. The scientific novelty of the article is to define the essence, content, forms and features of psychosocial support for the population in the context of war, hostilities and possible hostilities, to generalise the principles of its provision in war, to identify the subjects of its implementation and technologies of its provision. It is a complex of social and psychological services, programmes and activities aimed at restoring people's condition, stabilising this condition and developing a person. Psychosocial support has its own principles, forms, content and is necessarily used at different levels of case management for different purposes and impact.
