Breast Metastasis from Rectal Cancer : A Case Report and Literature Review.
Breast metastasis from digestive cancer are rare and exceptionally reported in the literature, with an incidence of 0.5 to 2% of breast cancers, and rectal origin is exceptional. The clinical and radiological manifestations of breast metastases are nonspecific. Accurate diagnosis relies on histological and immunohistochemical studies. Metastasectomy combined with effective chemotherapy can prolong the survival of these patients. Unfortunately, the prognosis associated with these metastatic lesions remains concerning. We will emphasize through this observation and a literature review the clinical and pathological characteristics, treatment methods, and prognosis.
