Mechanically induced magnonic frequency combs via the magnetostrictive effect

Magnonic frequency combs play a significant role in magnonic dynamics and spectroscopy analysis. Here we investigate the generation of magnonic frequency combs in a magnomechanical system in which the magnon mode is driven by a microwave field and the phonon mode is driven by a mechanical field. Using experimentally achievable parameters, we demonstrate that the magnonic frequency combs can be generated even if the amplitude of the microwave driving field is comparatively low, and the bandwidth and sideband plateau of magnonic frequency combs can be extended remarkably with the amplitude of the mechanical driving field increasing. The results show that magnonic frequency combs can be enhanced by the time-varying driving force via the magnetostrictive effect. The proposed method provides a promising route for the generation of low-power and wide-bandwidth magnonic frequency combs. Potential applications range from realizing high-precision microwave frequency metrology to designing new magnonic information processing devices.
