Analyzing the Influence of Glass Ceiling Barriers on the Job Performance of Female Employees in the Service Sector

The glass ceiling, a metaphor for the invisible barriers preventing women from advancing to top leadership roles, continues to impede gender equality in the service sector. This paper investigates how the glass ceiling affects the performance, motivation, and career progression of women employees across various service-based industries. Drawing upon literature, industry reports, and empirical findings, the study reveals that discriminatory practices, limited growth opportunities, and socio-cultural expectations significantly influence female employees' workplace outcomes. Recommendations are offered to mitigate these barriers through inclusive organizational policies and leadership initiatives.
