Strengthening the Capacity of Immigration Officers in Passport Interviews as a Strategy to Prevent Trafficking in Women: A Systematic Literature Review

Trafficking in women is a global problem that requires effective prevention strategies, one of which is through strengthening the capacity of immigration officers in passport interviews. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of passport interviews in detecting indications of trafficking in women using the systematic literature review method. The results show that interview training based on risk analysis, the use of specific indicators, and cross-sector collaboration are crucial steps in improving early detection of human trafficking cases. In addition, the use of data-driven technology and artificial intelligence has the potential to improve the accuracy of immigration officer interviews. Therefore, a continuous training policy and technology integration in the passport interview system are needed to minimize the risk of trafficking in women through immigration.
