Analysis of epidemiological data on the course of pregnancy in the city of Vladivostok in comparison with other regions and countries
Abstract Relevance. The relevance of the topic is due to the need to take into account regional characteristics in the organization of obstetric care. Vladivostok has unique climatic, social and economic conditions that affect the course of pregnancy and childbirth. Studying the frequency of gestational anemia, operative deliveries and other complications allows us to identify regional risk factors and develop measures to improve the effectiveness of medical care, which is important for adapting international standards to local specifics. Objective. To study the features of the obstetric and gynecological history, the course of pregnancy and childbirth outcomes among women in Vladivostok in 2022, compare the data obtained with international studies and identify regional differences. Material and methods. A retrospective analysis of data from 534 women obtained from the dispensary cards of pregnant women, as well as birth histories, was conducted. A comparison was made with data from other regions of Russia and the world. Differences in diagnostic approaches and research methodologies were taken into account. Results. It was found that the course of pregnancy in women in Vladivostok corresponds to global trends, but regional features were identified, including a high level of gestational anemia – 52.8 %, the frequency of operative delivery – 36.9 % and terminated pregnancies– 40.3 %. Differences associated with socio-economic, cultural and clinical factors, as well as research methodology were revealed. Conclusion. The results of the study emphasize the need to adapt international standards to the regional specifics of Vladivostok, including measures to reduce the incidence of gestational anemia, optimize operative delivery and prevent pregnancy complications.
