A Procedural Study on the Use of Chunking Strategy to Enhance Handwriting Skills among Students in Fatima Al-Zahraa Preparatory School for Girls, Qatar

Problems with illegible handwriting can interrupt notetaking and hinder a student's academic progress. Furthermore, messy handwriting might affect grades as it can be influenced by how teachers assess work. Consequently, illegible handwriting poses a substantial challenge for both students and teachers, especially when it comes to responding to essay questions, often resulting in unsatisfactory outcomes or restricted achievement. Therefore, Chunk Handwriting Strategy has been put into practice to evaluate its eligibility and effectiveness in improving the readability of students' handwriting. Thus, a class of 22 students has been undergone for the application of this strategy for three academic months. Consequently, the outcomes exhibited differing enhancements in the students' handwriting, attributed to diverse reasons outlined in the discussion & analysis section of this study. Additionally, suggestions and recommendations have been proposed.
