Cooperation of Ukraine with International financial organizations in the context of war, globalization, and european integration
The current stage of development of society is characterized by processes of globalization and integration, which are accompanied by fundamental changes in the political, economic, social and legal systems of Ukraine. This transformation requires a comprehensive scientific analysis and assessment. The study of the mechanisms of interaction of Ukraine with international organizations, the clarification of political, socio-economic and other aspects of such cooperation are of paramount importance. It is through this interaction that universal international standards are formed and implemented, covering various areas - from the protection of human rights to the regulation of trade relations, health care and ensuring the economic development of the state. This article is dedicated to the study of Ukraine’s cooperation with international financial organizations (IFOs). The relevance of the topic is due to the growing role of these organizations in the context of Russia’s military aggression against our country, as well as global factors such as globalization and interstate integration, where IFOs serve as a driving force for the development of these processes. They contribute to the development of various international acts to ensure global economic stability and security, support human rights, and promote the sustainable development of democratic countries. The paper highlights Ukraine’s cooperation with IFOs from the moment of our country’s independence to the present day. Attention is drawn to the fact that any developing country is interested in receiving financial support from IFOs to foster economic growth and prosperity, and for Ukraine, which is at war, cooperation with IFOs is critically important. Its success is vital for funding priority state budget expenditures directed at addressing the urgent needs of the war-affected population, paying salaries to workers and pensions to retirees, restoring damaged national critical infrastructure, providing key public services such as education, healthcare, and other social services, including housing for internally displaced persons, and so on. The conclusions of the research emphasize the importance of Ukraine’s cooperation with international financial organizations, both for enhancing the economic development of our country and for ensuring human rights and freedoms in Ukraine. It is also noted that the limits of IFO influence on domestic state-building processes must align with national interests and be determined by Ukrainian legislation and the scope of international obligations undertaken by our state.
