El discurso persuasivo en las videorreseñas de los gamers de habla hispana en YouTube
Social networks for audiovisual entertainment represent for generations Y and Z, also known as millennials and centennials, a daily mean of communication in which they can share their tastes and opinions with total freedom of speech. These social media platforms, epicenters of innovative linguistic studies, enable the expression of persuasive messages through an informal register. In this realm, a large number of gamers, belonging to both age groups, gather and use rhetorical persuasion in their video speeches with the aim of influencing their audience. Therefore, the present work aims to analyze both the different argumentative techniques and the communication strategies and styles, examining the videos of these gamers; short films that try to convince their online community. Through 10 specific examples, 5 women and 5 men, the aim is to illustrate the morphological and lexical-semantic resources that these speakers use in their oral interventions.
