30 (11A) The concussion quality of life scale-youth validates and complements the post-concussion symptom inventory on days 3 and 10 post-concussion
time-to-unrestricted RTP ('RTP').Predictors of interest included Division (I, II, III), Position (non-speed [linemen], speed [non-linemen/non-special teams], special teams [punter, kicker, long-snapper]), expected starter status (yes, no, unknown/skipped), injury report timing (immediate, delayed), and previous concussion (yes, no).Median days-to-asymptomatic/RTP (25 th -75 th percentile) were calculated.Univariate Kaplan-Meier survival curves with associated log-rank tests (a=0.05)evaluated statistical differences in time-to-asymptomatic and time-to-RTP trajectories for each predictor. Results Median time-to-asymptomatic for all NCAAF studentathletes was 6.8 days (3.8-11.1);time-to-RTP was 13.1 (8.6-23.1)days.Per univariate survival models, expected starter status (Yes: 5.9 [3.3-9.8],No: 7.6 [4.4-12.2],Unknown/Skipped: 7.0 [3.6-11.1],p=0.029), and injury report timing (Immediate: 5.9 [3.1-9.8],Delayed: 8.2 [4.4-12.8],p<0.001) were associated with time-to-asymptomatic. Division (I: 12.2 [8-21.5],II: 16.0 [10.9-28.8],III: 15 [9.9-23.1],p=0.039), and injury report timing (Immediate: 12.2 [7.8-21.0],Delayed: 13.9 [9.6-24.6],p=0.029) were associated with time-to-RTP.No other significant associations were found. Conclusions Delayed concussion reporting, starter status, and division were associated with prolonged recovery at multiple timepoints.Further research on characteristics that influence SRC recovery in NCAAF is encouraged.
