35 (14A) Tackling post-traumatic headache with atogepant: a case report
degrees).Participants also completed the neck disability index (NDI) and Post-Concussion Symptom Inventory (PCSI), then were monitored through symptom resolution.Multivariable Cox proportional hazards regression examined neck variables and time from concussion to symptom resolution (days), adjusting for sex and PCSI score. Results Thirty-seven adolescents (age= 15.61.4years, 59% female, 11.44.5 days post-injury) participated. After adjusting for covariates, there were no associations between symptom resolution time and neck strength: flexion (hazard ratio [HR] =0.99, 95% confidence interval [CI]=0.86,1.15,p=0.98), extension (HR=1.03,95%CI=0.93,1.14, p=0.60), right lateral flexion (HR=1.03,95%CI 0.93,1.14,p=0.59), left lateral flexion (HR=1.02,95%CI=0.93,1.13,p=0.64), right sternocleidomastoid (HR=1.01,95%CI=0.84,1.21,p=0.92), and left sternocleidomastoid (HR=1.02,95%CI 0.84,1.23,p=0.85).There were no associations between symptom resolution time and ROM: flexion (HR=0.98,95%CI 0.94,1.02,p=0.35), extension (HR=0.97,95%CI 0.93,1.01,p=0.14), right lateral flexion (HR=0.98,95%CI=0.95,1.00,p=0.10), left lateral flexion (HR=0.98,95%CI=0.95,1.01,p=0.13), right rotation (HR=0.98,95%CI=0.94,1.02,p=0.30), and left rotation (HR=0.98, 95%CI=0.94,1.01,p=0.23).NDI was not associated with symptom resolution time (HR=0.99,95%CI=0.93,1.07;p=0.99).Conclusion Post-concussion neck strength, ROM, and neckrelated disability were not associated with symptom duration in adolescents. The effect of neck injury treatmentwhich may impact these variables, as well as symptoms during concussion recoverywas not measured in this study.
