Single-shot characterization of microlenses using digital holographic microscopy

An off-axis image plane digital holographic microscope is proposed for the characterization of microlenses. This method enables a comprehensive analysis of phase profiles, surface quality, and focal length determination through numerical propagation algorithms. The proposed method allows the digital simulation of the microlens performance in realistic scenarios, enabling a thorough assessment of its imaging characteristics under diverse conditions.

Abstract

An off-axis image plane digital holographic microscope is proposed for the characterization of microlenses. This method enables a comprehensive analysis of phase profiles, surface quality, and focal length determination through numerical propagation algorithms. The proposed method allows the digital simulation of the microlens performance in realistic scenarios, enabling a thorough assessment of its imaging characteristics under diverse conditions.
