Cooperated Dispatching Model for ACT-Microgrid System Considering Logistics Transportation Flexibility

Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are essential components for advancing clean and eco-friendly automated container terminals (ACTs). The orderly charging of high-energy-consuming AGVs can significantly enhance the flexibilities of microgrids, thereby promoting the accommodation of renewable energy. Different with traditional EVs, AGVs are required to complete the container transportation assignments within a specified time. In this paper, a novel cooperated dispatching model for the coupled ACT-seaport microgrid system is proposed to improve the economy and safety of the whole system, while satisfying the transportation assignments. For ACT, a multi-period ACT logistics transportation scheduling model that is compatible with the scheduling time window of power systems is proposed considering the heterogeneous power consumption characteristics of AGVs. The heterogeneous power consumption characteristics and charging behaviors of AGVs are captured and coupled with logical transportation constraints and flexible transportation modes. To utilize the temporal-spatial transportation flexibilities of AGVs, an optimal dispatching method for ACT and microgrid system is developed, which further incorporates the scheduling flexibilities of microgrid. Numerical results performed on a modified IEEE 41-bus system and ACT using real data validate the effectiveness of the proposed model. The cooperated dispatching method for ACT and microgrid system can bring considerable economic benefits.
