Residential-based social rehabilitation support system for children in conflict with the law at Mahatmiya Center Bali
Handling Children in Conflict with the Law (ABH) requires special attention, emphasizing legal, social, and psychological aspects to restore social function during reintegration. Mahatmiya Bali Center has a vital role in providing support to ABH. This study aims to analyze the institution's residential-based social rehabilitation support system. A single case study was analyzed using a qualitative approach, with the focus of the study being the form of social support received by ABH. Data was collected through interviews and focus group discussions with five selected informants through purposive techniques from the head of the institution, social workers, psychologists, children, and beneficiary families. Data findings were analyzed from the coding reduction process to produce conclusions in the form of categorizations adjusted to the study's objectives. The results showed that ABH social support came from social workers, psychologists, fellow beneficiaries, and the vocational class environment. Meanwhile, the family support system was minimal. The results of the study concluded that ABH who were in the transition period to adolescence needed assistance to prevent recidivism. The results of this study contribute to increasing knowledge about the psychosocial conditions of ABH and provide recommendations to institutions in improving the social support system for ABH.
