This study aimed to explore the characteristics of ‘how’ and ‘why’ lifelong learning experiences are linked to successful aging among ‘New middle-aged women’. To this end, a qualitative case study was conducted targeting ‘New middle-aged women’ aged 50 to 69 who belong to a lifelong learning NPO in Suwon. The results of the 19 in-depth interviews were analyzed by dividing them into five types: family relationships, social relationships, attitudes toward life, psychological changes, and self-awareness. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, they are aware of their own growth and development. Second, they form positive attitudes and perspectives toward themselves and others through interactions with various people, and show a positive attitude toward life. Third, their anxiety and fear of life have decreased, and they have positive expectations for the future. In conclusion, in the context of lifelong learning experiences, successful aging characteristics are based on relational experiences.
