PRÁTICAS DE RESTAURAÇÃO EM PRAÇAS DE SONDAGEM
This article analyzes the environmental impacts of mining on the native vegetation of the Caatinga biome, with a focus on vegetation suppression in ten drilling areas located in the Pinhões community, in the municipality of Juazeiro, Bahia. The main objective was to promote the reforestation of these areas through the planting of native species as a means of mitigating the negative effects of mining activities. The project involved quantifying the degraded areas, determining the revegetation requirements, monitoring the success of the planting, and conducting a physicochemical analysis of the water from the settling pond. The initiative was carried out in partnership with the company Ero Brasil, the Graduate Program in Regional Development and Sustainability (PPGDiDeS) at UNIVASF, and the Green School Program (Programa Escola Verde).
