PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN SURVEY, QUESTION, READ, RECITE, REVIEW (SQ3R) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENGIDENTIFIKASI TEKS PERSUASIF SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 1 HILIDUHO

This research was motivated by the low reading ability of students in identifying persuasive texts. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review (SQ3R) Learning Method on the Ability to Identify Persuasive Texts of Grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Hiliduho. This research is a quantitative research with an experimental approach. This research has two variables, namely independent and dependent variables. The results of the study showed that the learning outcomes taught using the Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review (SQ3R) learning method were higher than the learning outcomes of students taught using the conventional lecture method. The results of statistical tests showed that the learning outcomes of students with the Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review (SQ3R) method were a pretest in the experimental class of 49% and a posttest of 84.75%, while the learning outcomes of students using the conventional learning method were a pretest in the control class of 45% and a posttest of 54.50%. The results of hypothesis testing obtained t-count > t-table, namely 22.01 > 1.725 at the α = 0.05 level.
