PENERAPAN MODEL COOPERATIVE LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENYIMAK PIDATO SISWA KELAS VIII UPTD SMP NEGERI 3 GUNUNGSITOLI SELATAN

The purpose of this study was to improve students' ability to analyze the structure of speech texts using the Cooperative Learning model. The implementation procedure consists of four stages, namely: (1) Planning, (2) Action, (3) Observation, and (4) Reflection. The researcher used research instruments, namely observation sheets, essay tests, field notes and documentation. The subjects in this study were 25 students of class VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli Selatan, even semester, consisting of 25 people, 11 male and 14 female. The results of the increase in students' ability to analyze the structure of speech texts in cycle I were the highest score of 74 and the lowest score of 55 with a completion percentage of 63.6%. In cycle II, the lowest score was 75 and the highest score was 90 with a completion percentage of 86%. It was concluded that the application of the Cooperative Learning learning model can improve the ability to listen to speeches of students in class VIII. It is hoped that further researchers will use this research as additional insight to carry out research. . Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam menganalisis struktur teks pidato dengan menggunakan model Cooperative Learning. Prosedur pelaksanaannya terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu: (1) Perencanaan, (2) Tindakan, (3) Observasi, dan (4) Refleksi. Peneliti menggunakan instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar observasi, tes essay, catatan lapangan dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli Selatan, semester genap yang berjumlah 25 orang, laki-laki sebanyak 11 orang dan perempuan sebanyak 14 orang. Hasil nilai peningkatan kemampuan peserta didik menganalisis struktur teks pidato pada siklus I yaitu nilai tertinggi 74 dan nilai terendah 55 dengan presentase ketuntasan 63,6%. Pada siklus II nilai terendah 75 dan nilai tertinggi 90 dengan presentase ketuntasan 86%. Disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak pidato peserta didik di kelas VIII. Diharapkan pada peneliti selanjutnya menggunakan penelitian ini sebagai tambahan wawasan untuk melaksanakan penelitian.
