Mathematical model of the static operating mode of a three-phase oil separator

Objective. Synthesis of an automatic control system for the process of separation of an oil and gas mixture based on a mathematical model describing the process in terms of “input-output”. Methods. The study uses the method of material balance analysis, which allows for determining the flow rate of material flows (oil, gas, and water) at the separator outlet based on the known flow rate of the oil and gas mixture at the inlet and the introduced separation coefficients. Results. Mathematical dependences describing the separation process based on the material balance were obtained. A mathematical model of separator statics was developed, which is the basis for further development of a model of separation process dynamics and synthesis of an automatic control system. Scientific novelty. The proposed mathematical model allows for determining the flow rates of material flows of the separator, taking into account the oil and gas separation coefficients and the oil dehydration coefficient, which is important for further automatic control of the process. Practical significance. The developed model can be used to synthesize an efficient automatic control system for a three-phase separator, which will improve the quality of oil, gas, and water separation and contribute to the optimization of the technological process. Keywords: oil and gas mixture, three-phase separator, statics, mathematical model, separation coefficients.

Abstract
