ANALYSIS OF HYDROGEOLOGICAL WELL DESIGNS CONSTRUCTED USING ROTARY DRILLING

Purpose. The study aims to improve the construction technology of hydrogeological wells drilled using rotary and cable-tool drilling methods, considering geological, hydrogeological, and technical conditions. The goal is to optimize well designs used for exploration, research, and the extraction of potable and industrial water through well-based technologies. Methods. The research applies methods for analyzing geological, hydrogeological, and technical conditions of hydrogeological well construction. It also integrates scientific and technical advancements in the mining industry and well construction for liquid and gaseous mineral resources. Results. The study analyzes the technologies for constructing hydrogeological wells using rotary and cable-tool drilling. The advantages and disadvantages of these drilling methods are identified. The research examines the designs of exploratory, mapping, reconnaissance, monitoring, exploratory-production, and production hydrogeological wells. Scientific novelty. The study advances the theory of how geological, hydrogeological, and technological factors influence the structural variations of hydrogeological wells. A correlation is established between changes in well design parameters and the technological equipment used for well construction, research, and formation water extraction. Practical significance. The research includes an analysis of geological, hydrogeological, and technological factors that influence the selection and justification of hydrogeological well designs constructed using rotary and cable-tool drilling. A classification of wells is provided based on the exploration stage, well purpose, and type of research conducted. Based on hydrogeological drilling data, the study identifies the most common well types by depth and diameter. Keywords: drilling, well design, casing string.
