Analysis of the influence of psychophysiological processes on the safety of labor activity of employees of mining enterprises

Purpose. The purpose of the article is to improve the process of identifying the causes of dangerous events due to the psychophysiological characteristics of workers, the motives of their dangerous behavior and related accidents and accidents, to take into account the psychophysiological characteristics of workers when performing high-risk work. Research methods. The paper applies a systematic analysis of dangerous events caused by the influence of psychophysiological factors and the impact of psychophysiological processes on the safety of workers' labor activity when performing work in mining enterprises. Results. The analysis of the influence of psychophysiological processes on the safety of labor activity of employees of mining enterprises is carried out. The data on sensations, sensory organs, and irritations to the respective sensory organs are systematized. It is shown that physical overload and fatigue of workers slow down the sensory response to stimuli and impair the process of perception of external stimuli, which are characteristic manifestations and harbingers of threats (sounds, smells, smoke, etc.). This is manifested in the delayed reaction of employees to threats, untimely exit from the danger zone, untimely use of protective equipment, etc. It has been established that from the point of view of occupational safety for employees of mining enterprises, one of the most important mental processes at the level of perception, comprehension of information, decision-making and appropriate reaction is attention, which ensures the focus and concentration of human cognitive and labor activity on a particular object or action. Scientific novelty. The research is aimed at identifying the peculiarities of the influence of psychophysiological processes on the safety of work performed by employees of mining enterprises, and the reasons for the delayed reaction of employees to threats, which are the constant change in the content and nature of the work performed and the need to adapt to changing working conditions, accompanied by constant tension of the senses. The reasons that slow down the sensory response of workers to irritation and impair the process of perception of external stimuli by workers are identified. Practical value. The analysis allows for a more reasonable, taking into account the psychophysiological capabilities of employees, the nature and working conditions, to carry out their professional selection when performing work in harmful and dangerous working conditions characterized by physical overload and fatigue, and to implement measures aimed at preventing fatigue, improving working conditions (microclimatic conditions, lighting, ventilation, heating, etc.), organizing workplaces taking into account the anthropometric data of the employee. Introduce optimal work rhythms and rational work and rest regimes. Keywords: mining enterprises, dangerous events, risk, safety, psychophysiological processes, working conditions.
