Exploring new physics effects of Z′ boson on rare charm baryon Λc decay
A recent update on the branching ratio of the rare charmed baryon [Formula: see text] decays into [Formula: see text] final state made us curious to look at it through beyond standard model (BSM). Here, we analyze the rare charm baryon decay [Formula: see text] in the nonuniversal [Formula: see text] model. We incorporate new physics (NP) quark couplings from [Formula: see text]–[Formula: see text] mixing and NP leptonic coupling from other charm decays undergoing c–u transition. Using the form factors from lattice QCD, we calculate branching fraction, longitudinal polarization fraction and null test observables like forward–backward asymmetry, lepton flavor universality in the framework of [Formula: see text] model. Both short distance and long distance effects are included in the Wilson coefficients for the above calculation. Though our predicted value of branching fraction approaches toward the experimental upper limit, it shows considerable deviation from the standard model (SM) prediction.
