ANALYSIS OF THE CONDITIONS OF OCCURRING AND ELIMINATING ABSORPTION OF WASHING FLUID

Objective. The study aims to enhance the thermomechanical technology for isolating lost circulation zones in oil and gas wells by establishing the governing laws of its parameter variations and substantiating its operational modes based on the composition and physico-mechanical properties of thermoplastic composite material. Based on these findings, a technological framework is developed, including recommendations for composite manufacturing, cementing operations, and the design and isolation of lost circulation zones in drilling wells. Methodology. The research applies analytical methods to assess geological and technical conditions in well construction, advanced cementing technologies and materials, and integrates scientific and technical advancements in the oil and gas drilling industry. The study also generalizes experiences in drilling operations for liquid and gaseous hydrocarbon deposits. Results. The study presents an in-depth analysis of lost circulation mechanisms, considering geological factors and operational procedures during well construction. Various techniques for preventing and mitigating lost circulation are examined, along with a review of cementing materials used for isolation. The efficiency and limitations of conventional and advanced lost circulation control technologies are evaluated, considering their impact on the integrity of the wellbore and zonal isolation. Scientific novelty. The research further develops the theory of lost circulation genesis and the complications arising in well construction. A novel correlation is established between lost circulation intensity, rock strength, and increasing drilling depth. Additionally, it is confirmed that in fractured formations, conventional water-based cement slurries incorporating mineral binders and synthetic additives have reached their performance limits in mitigating lost circulation. Practical significance. The study includes a comprehensive analysis of time and cost expenditures associated with lost circulation control during well construction. The results of lost circulation mitigation at hydrocarbon fields in Ukraine are systematized. Rock formations are classified based on fracturing, karstification, and permeability characteristics. The research provides systematic recommendations for lost circulation management in drilling operations, detailing hydrodynamic pressure variations, temperature fluctuations with depth, cementing materials for zonal isolation, and advanced lost circulation control methods. Keywords: oil and gas drilling, lost circulation, drilling fluids, cementing materials, zonal isolation.

Abstract

The research provides systematic recommendations for lost circulation management in drilling operations, detailing hydrodynamic pressure variations, temperature fluctuations with depth, cementing materials for zonal isolation, and advanced lost circulation control methods.
